I dedicate this to all the mom (& dads) of New York City. Back in the 80’s - when August would hit - my mom would drag me down to Herald Square to go back to school shopping. We’d get out at 34th St., look at Macy’s, then go straight to this low key gem that sold some brand names and every single size was irregular. We did a lot of “if you tuck it in they won’t notice” growing up. This is how New Yorkers learned resilience, because all of the kids of union workers & drug dealers would roast you. Wouldn’t trade those moments for anything. Thank you mom.
